Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Lindsay Walden
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Mix together in large bowl
Blend in:
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp melted shortening
1 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)

Pour batter into ungreased 9" square pan. In smaller brown stir together
1 cup brown sugar (packed down good)
1/4 cup cocoa
Sprinkle this mixture over batter. Pour 1 3/4 cups HOT water over all
Bake 45 min at 350 degrees. While it's hot, cut cake into squares; invert each square onto a dessert plate and spoon sauce over top and serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Very yummy!
