Danish Dessert

Lindsay Walden
I haven’t made this in a long time but it is one of Dan’s favorite desserts.

Ingredients:
2 c flour
½ c brown sugar
1 c butter
½ c nuts
8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 c powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
1 can crushed pineapple (small)
1 box dream whip (4 c)
1 pkg Danish Dessert
1 can fruit (berries)

Instructions:
Mix together flour, brown sugar and butter for crust-like pie dough. Add nuts. Lightly press into 9X13 pan. Bake 375 for 15-20 min. Recrumble and let cool.

Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla and pineapple. Add Dream Whip.

Follow the directions on the box to make the Danish Dessert and when cool add fruit (I prefer strawberries or raspberries).

Arrange ½ of crumb mixture in pan, then layer with filling, crumb mixture and desert topping. Chill 3-4 hours.
