Ward Wheat Bread

Wonderful Ward Wheat Bread
Karla Ward
(We like this because it doesn't have any honey. My mom is allergic)

3 cups boiling water
2 cups oats
1/4 cup butter
4 teaspoons salt

Mix all of those ingredients and let cool. While it's cooling, grind wheat to make about 5-6 cups. If you don't have wheat to grind, you can just use whole wheat flour.

In your Bosch, mix:
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 Tablespoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar

Let sit for a few minutes
Check to see if the oatmeal mixture has cooled enough, add a few ice cubes if not until you can stick your finger into it without it being too hot.
Add oatmeal mixture to the yeast.

Add:
1 cup brown sugar
5-6 cups wheat flour
White flour, for a total of about 10 cups of flour

Place in a greased bowl and turn dough to coat. (Did I spell that right?) Cover with plastic wrap and let sit until doubled. Punch down and shape into four loaves. Place in greased bread pans, cover and let rise again. Bake for 35 minutes at 375. Voila!
